“susGain app is an innovative platform to weave education, gaming, community building and altruism together. I appreciated the galore of ideas (hence choices) for app users to inculcate and practice good habits that aim to promote sustainability. After several weeks of engaging myself with the app, I have gained new knowledge, heightened my awareness and mindfulness on environmental issues, sustainable practices and habits that will contribute to a more liveable world for ourselves. The gaming feature acted as a great source of motivation and enforcing camaraderie between classes or teams of students. It will be great to have more schools and communities coming onboard.”

“Clean plate makes my child to complete her food. It’s a very good thing. Making compost at home also. Recycling at home is very fun and we got new ideas.”

“I liked that the campaign utilised gamification and a point system to encourage participants to commit to more environmentally sustainable behaviours. The activities released by IS explored the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse & Recycle and even Repurposing which I found to be rather holistic.”

“I think that the inter class sustainability challenge was an excellent and amazing way for us to both have fun and contribute to the environment. My class faced some challenges like other classes being as competitive and also winning us, but we got over it and it was fun getting all the challenges done and earning points to help the society.”

“The susGain app taught me more about volunteering and carrying out actions that help with our environment like donating clothes at Westwood and having a plant-based diet. The app also encourages us to take care of ourselves physically by exercising, mentally by giving us quizzes to learn if we have anxiety or not. susGain is also fun as it puts out classes against each other in a competitive setting while educating us more about the environment.”
